Woven together from first hand accounts and expert interviews, family archives and rare access to key participants, explore the winding and enigmatic tale of the 30-year-long search for justice for Beverly Lynn Smith.

Of all the true crime television I watch, I couldn’t even get through a whole episode of this. The unbalanced and inefficient way the story was told left a bad taste in my mouth.

Three-quarters of the episode is about other people who I assume will be involved later only because one man has the last name of Smith and before I turned off the program he mentioned something about her murder to some criminals. We do meet Beverly Lynn Smith’s twin sister in the very beginning. Then it turns into a different crime altogether.

I can get they want you to know this guy, but I hate how nearly one quarter of a story about this woman’s death has taken a back seat to a man’s story. Amazon Prime probably didn’t notice the casual misogyny in that, but I did.

PCL Rating: Toss It

Rotten Tomatoes Rating: ROTTEN
