Evil Dead Sequel Series Coming To Starz

Variety is reporting that Starz has ordered a series based on the Evil Dead movies called “Ash vs. Evil Dead” The show will star none other than Bruce Campbell himself. Hail to the king baby! Sam Raimi will direct at least the first episode of the series. The series will be 10 half hour episodes and will drop sometime in 2015.
According to Variety:
Bruce Campbell, who will reprise his iconic role as Ash, the stock boy, aging lothario and chainsaw-handed monster hunter who has spent the last 30 years avoiding responsibility, maturity and the terrors of the Evil Dead.
When a Deadite plague threatens to destroy all of mankind, Ash is finally forced to face his demons — personal and literal. Destiny, it turns out, has no plans to release the unlikely hero from its “Evil” grip.
I don’t know about you but I’m crazy excited about this! It’s not the movie I’ve wanted but it’s a nice consolation prize. And I’ll take 5 hours of Ash over 2 any day! Looks like I’m ordering Starz!
