Welcome to what we like to call Episode 270. Mostly because it comes after Episode 269 and right before Episode 271. So we believe it’s appropriately titled. When are you gonna start talking about content? If I could slap the freckles off your face right now I would. Patience. Not the Guns ‘N Roses song but have some real patience. I’m getting to the content. Slowly but surely.
This week we are joined by Paul Hart host of The Animated Batcast! In Good Pop Bad Pop this week Brian talks about going to the Fandango Early Screening of How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World, Stan & Ollie, Free Solo in IMAX and the new TNT mini-series I Am The Night starring Chris Pine and directed by Patty Jenkins (Wonder Woman). Paul and Jake discuss the new Hobbs & Shaw trailer. Jake gives his rating of Glass. Paul and Brian discuss Velvet Buzzsaw on Netflix as well as HBO’s new horror anthology Folklore. Paul gives us his thoughts on Mr. Robot starring Rami Malek as well as Russian Doll on Netflix.
In News this week we talk about statements Steve Soderbergh gave concerning Bill & Ted Face The Music, Leigh Whannell is directing The Invisible Man for Universal, Jason Bateman and John Cena will team up for a Netflix film, Zack Snyder is doing a Netflix film featuring zombies in Las Vegas titled Army of the Dead and we might get a Starship Troopers TV show with the original cast in talks to return. ALSO, Westworld showrunner Lisa Joy is directing her first film a sci-fi thriller REMINISCENCE that is set to cast both Hugh Jackman and Rebecca Ferguson.
In Marvel News we’ll talk about a rumor/claim that Michael B. Jordan will return as Killmonger in Black Panther 2. And we have a little Captain Marvel news that’s pretty fun.
In DC News we talk about James Gunn directing the upcoming Suicide Squad 2 now titled The Suicide Squad. We also have a ton of rumors about Matt Reeves The Batman movie as well as a DC Superpets movie.
