🎙Welcome to Episode 261 of Pop Culture Leftovers. This week we are joined by Dan Ramirez from the 🎧 Heroes of Noise podcast. This week we don’t dilly dally around for too long and dive into the Daredevil cancellation news. What does it mean for the character, the actors and for us as fans? Dan also gives us his thoughts on 2015’s Green Room with Anton Yelchin and Sir Patrick Stewart. Brian talks about a new anime from Studio Chizu called Mirai. Jake talks about what he’s been listening to and we all discuss the new Nightflyers (SyFy) featurette we watched. And Dan gives us his thoughts on Alan Arkin and Michael Douglas in The Kominsky Method on Netflix as well as Bravo Networks Dirty John starring Eric Bana and Connie Britton.
In News we talk about the new Candyman 🐝 film being written by Jordan Peele. The news of a both a Cowboy Bebop live-action series coming to Netflix as well as a Blade Runner animated series being developed for Adult Swim – Blade Runner Black Lotus. A LeBron James 🏀 biopic is in the works and Netflix is getting series based on the works of Roald Dahl.
🕸 In Marvel News we got the first reactions for 🕷 Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. We talk about the Russo Brothers statements about Chris Evans. Will Captain America die in Avengers 4 or is there another alternative besides death for the character possibly exiting the MCU? We also talk about the Russo Brothers explanation of the Soul Stone.
In DC News we talk about the Aquaman 🔱 movie reactions as well as news of Jaime Reyes Blue Beetle film AND a possible Zatanna film 🎩
And in Star Wars News we talk about the casting of Nick Nolte in The Mandalorian coming to Disney+.
