The one thing no one mentioned is that this IS an origin movie – it’s the origin of Spidey as a superhero, while skipping over the spider bite and Uncle Ben. Vulture is his first time fighting a supervillain, learning how to be the established crime fighter. The next movie is him knowing what he’s doing, feeling more comfortable, then facing bigger stakes. In the previous films, the Green Goblin should have taken a novice Spider-Man apart. This approach allows Spider-Man to grow into the role as the threats get bigger.
Wrong. With a side of absolutely sauce. SM:H is greatness. Love you guys even thought you hate on the Mel name, which is also greatness.
