Could WandaVision Easter Egg Confirm Grim Reaper Is the Main Villain? (SPOILERS)

The rumor mill has been heating up since WandaVision dropped on Disney+ today. But the rumors had actually started on Twitter sometime ago. Roger Wardell, who has gotten many scoops right in the past came back late December with a couple of rumors about WandaVision. The first was this rumor from Roger Wardell that we talked about last podcast:

In Episode 2 we saw this play out. Now could it be that Roger Wardell just saw the first 3 screeners that Disney had released to the press? And is this even the real Roger Wardell? There’s been 2 accounts. The first was “@RogerWardell” and he had predicted many outcomes for Avengers Endgame and Ant-Man and the Wasp rumors. But this new account, @WardellRoger? Is it the same guy? Is it legit? Well, let’s take a look at another of his leaks on Twitter:

I didn’t think anything of this until I got an email from a listener of the podcast @maxmoser73 today showing this photo of what I believe is an Easter Egg for who might be one of the main villains of the series.

That sure looks like Grim Reapers helmet if you ask me. Coincidence? Or is Kevin Feige and the writers for WandaVision giving us the clues of who could be some major villains coming to the MCU?

Who is Grim Reaper and what are they setting up? If I had to guess they are going with the 1995 miniseries The Last Avengers Story, William Maximoff the son of Scarlet Witch and the Vision grew up to be known as the Grim Reaper. He allied with Kang and Ultron against the Avengers. He used magic and had a scythe.

We also know that Jonathan Majors has been cast in the MCU and it’s rumored he’ll be Kang. But check out this rumor from Roger Wardell:

This is all pretty exciting if you ask me. So Jonathan Majors could start off as Immortus in Loki and then later will become Kang. I keep wondering if we’ll get a version of Kang that is Tony Stark like in the comics. We’ve already seen Tony create Ultron. What if RDJ comes back as a villain? Just a thought. But then again I don’t think you cast Jonathan Majors to replace him.

Now what about Mephisto? He’s also mentioned in Roger Wardell’s leak. Let’s take a look at this shot from the Loki trailer:

Well, that looks like Owen Wilson’s character from the TVA (Time Variance Authority), probably Mobius M Mobius inside of a church. But if you look at the stained glass behind him that isn’t a christian deity in the artwork that looks like the devil AKA Mephisto. Could this be an alternate timeline where Mephisto has worshippers?

I’m not saying that Mephisto and Grim Reaper ARE the main villains for Loki and/or WandaVision but with these new Easter eggs paired with Roger Wardell’s leaks there’s a very good chance. We’ll talk more about this on the next episode of Pop Culture Leftovers podcast.
